Connect Marketing Shop products to a POS DNA product, so that POS DNA can determine which locations see these products and how many they can order.
You can do this from the POS DNA product (route A) or from the Marketing Shop product (route B). Both routes create a connection, but they differ in two ways: only route A lets you choose a size, and only route B also makes the product's access depend on POS DNA.
Haven't created any POS DNA products yet? Set up POS DNA first.
Route A: From the POS DNA product
Navigate to "Marketing Shop" > "POS DNA" and open the POS DNA product.
Select the "Products" tab.
Click "Connect product".
Select the Marketing Shop product.
If size selection is enabled, select the size this product belongs to. This is required.
Confirm the connection.
Connected products are listed on the "Products" tab with their size. From there, you can open, edit or disconnect them.
⚠️ Important: Connecting a product this way does not change its permissions. If the product's permissions are still set to "Manual", access is determined by those manual settings and not by POS DNA. To let POS DNA determine access, also set the product's permissions as described in route B.
Route B: From the Marketing Shop product
Navigate to "Marketing Shop" > "Products" and open the product.
Select the "Permissions" module. If it isn't listed, add it via "Edit modules".
Select "DNA products" instead of "Manual".
Click "Select POS DNA", choose the POS DNA product and click "Confirm".
Click "Save".
Note: You can select one POS DNA product per Marketing Shop product, and you can't choose a size in this route. For placements with sizes, connect the product via route A first, then set its permissions to "DNA products".
What does POS DNA-based access do?
When a product's permissions are set to "DNA products", locations only see the product if they have filled in the connected POS DNA product and, for placements with sizes, chose the matching size.
They can order at most the quantity they entered or selected, per order. For example, a location that entered 3 poster spots can order up to 3 posters in a single order.
⚠️ Important: Locations that haven't filled in their POS DNA won't see products with "DNA products" permissions. Ask your locations to fill in "My DNA" and keep it up to date.
Tip: After setting things up, check the product's permissions and test with a location that it sees the right products and can't order more than its POS DNA allows.
