POS DNA describes the point-of-sale (POS) placements available at your locations, such as poster spots or a shop window. Locations fill in which placements they have, how many, and in which size. You connect the matching Marketing Shop products to these placements.
You can then use this information to show each location only the products that fit its placements, and to limit how many it can order.
How is POS DNA organized?
Navigate to "Marketing Shop" and select "POS DNA". POS DNA consists of two levels:
Sections group related placements, for example "Posters" or "POS Usage".
POS DNA products are the individual placements within a section, for example "Poster Shop Window". Each one shows how many Marketing Shop products are connected to it, and whether it's active.
You can change the order of sections and POS DNA products by dragging them with the handle on the left. Users see them in the same order.
How does POS DNA work?
An admin creates sections and POS DNA products, and sets up how locations answer them.
An admin connects the matching Marketing Shop products to each POS DNA product.
Locations fill in their POS DNA via "My Account" > "My DNA".
For products whose permissions are set to "DNA products", Marvia uses these answers to determine which locations see the product and how many they can order.
