What possibilities are there for linear scaling within the platform?
Marvia supports linear scaling for templates, allowing users to generate output files in multiple sizes without redesigning each format manually. This is especially useful for posters, ads, and other materials that follow A-series or B-series paper sizes.
How linear scaling works
Linear scaling adjusts a design proportionally, preserving spacing, layout, and typography.
Once configured, the platform can automatically scale the template to multiple formats.
Marvia supports scaling for:
-
A-series sizes (A0 to A6)
-
B-series sizes
-
Custom size options (set up per template)
Requirements for linear scaling
To enable accurate scaling, the InDesign package must be provided in the largest required format.
A-series and B-series
-
For full A-series scaling (A0 to A6), provide the design in A0 or A1.
-
For B-series, provide the design in the largest B-size you plan to offer.
Custom formats
If scaling between custom sizes, provide the template in the largest custom dimension needed.
How users select sizes
After editing the template:
-
Users choose a format from the list of available sizes (A-series, B-series, or custom).
-
Marvia automatically generates the scaled file at the selected size.
No manual resizing is required.
