      How do I create a template?

      Learn more about the details of the template studio interface, based on the overview. This template is designed for creating content with variable data integration.

      I. Overview

      The Template Overview displays the ViaMar Social template along with its settings and configuration options. Key components include:

      • Header: Displays the template name ("ViaMar Social") along with general controls such as "Save," "Preview," and "Edit" in the top-right corner.
      • Navigation Sidebar: Provides access to different sections of the template settings, including:
        • General
        • Details
        • File
        • Print Options
        • Variables
        • Mockups
        • Media Conversions
      • Main Content Area: Displays the settings and options for the selected section in the sidebar.
      • Status Sidebar: Shows the current status of the template (e.g., "Active") and provides a revision history.
      • Settings Sidebar: Contains additional template-specific settings, such as Preview Settings and Specifications.
      • Footer: Includes Conversion Notifications and a Contact Support link.

      II. Navigation Sidebar Sections Explained

      A. General

      • Displays basic template information, including file details, scale settings, print options, and conversion notifications.

      B. Details

      • Name: Displays the template name ("ViaMar Social") with an option to edit.

      C. File

      • File Name: Displays the associated InDesign package in a zipped format (e.g., "viamarsocial.zip").
      • Actions: Includes "Download" and "Create" buttons for managing the template file.
      • Design Preview: Displays a thumbnail preview of the template, generated from the PDF inside the InDesign package.

      D. Scalable

      • Enables scalability for the template. 
      • Linear Sizes: Allows users to add template sizes that maintain the same aspect ratio as the original.
      • Editing Sizes:
        • Modify the name and dimensions of existing sizes.
        • Delete an existing size.
        • Add and name a new size.

      E. Print Options

      • Print Preset: Configures page settings for printing, such as size, orientation, and margins, based on InDesign settings.
      • Bleed: Defines bleed values for professional printing.
      • Colors: Manages color settings, including potential color profiles.
      • Marks: Provides options for adding printer marks (crop marks, registration marks, etc.).

      F. (Media) Variables

      • Show (Media) Variables: Button to display and manage variable data fields within the template.
      • Manage (Media) Variables: Opens a section for defining and configuring template variables, likely used for personalized content.

      III. Status Sidebar Explained

      • Status: Displays whether the template is Active (ready for use).
      • Version: Shows the current version number of the template.
      • Last Modified: Displays the date and time of the last modification.
      • Modified By: Identifies the user who last updated the template.

      IV. Settings Sidebar Explained

      • Scalable: Checkbox to enable or disable scalability (for responsive resizing).
      • Interactive: Checkbox to enable or disable interactive elements within the template.
      • Preview Setting: Dropdown menu for selecting a preview mode (specific options not displayed).
      • Specifications: Displays template specifications, including:
        • Format: Defines format compatibility (e.g., "PDF/X-1a:2003").
        • Rights/Rules: Displays associated usage rights (e.g., "0 R[ighe]").
        • Colors: Specifies the color model (e.g., CMYK, RGB).
        • DPI: Indicates the dots per inch resolution of the template.
        • Dimensions: Lists the template width and height in millimeters.

      V. Footer Explained

      • Conversion Notifications: Displays any notifications related to media processing or conversion.
