How do translations work?
Translations in Marvia are managed through translation keys. Each key represents a specific piece of text in the portal and determines what users see in their selected language.
Understanding translation keys
A translation key is a unique identifier used in the portal code. It links to the text that users see on screen.
For example:SITE.RELATED_CONTENT.OVERVIEW_ITEM_TO_ORDER
This key controls the text shown on a product ordering button or link.
Each translation key contains two parts:
-
Translation key
The code-based identifier used by the system. -
Translated text
The actual text displayed to users in the selected language.
Note: Every element in the portal that displays text is connected to a translation key. Changing one translation may affect multiple pages or features across your portal.
Why you should not edit translations
⚠️ Important: Do not change any translation settings yourself. These fields are highly technical and essential for the correct display of your portal. Incorrect changes can break text across multiple parts of the interface.
