How do I use the Exports tab?

Dashboard Overview

The Exports dashboard displays a table listing all your export history. This view provides a quick summary of each export’s key details:

  • Name: A descriptive name for the export (for example, ViaMar Grand Opening or Orders export).

  • Type: The category of the export, such as Templates bulk creation, Supplier, or Overview.

  • File type: The format of the exported file (for example, .zip or .xlsx).

  • User: The name of the user who created the export.

  • Status: The progress of the export process. Completed exports show as DONE.

  • Export date: The date and time the export was created.

Note: You can sort or search this table to locate specific exports more easily.

Managing Your Exports

The Exports tab includes several tools for efficiently handling your exported files.

Actions Menu

For each export, you’ll find an Actions menu (represented by a three-dot icon) on the right-hand side. Click this menu to reveal options such as:

  • Details: View additional information about the export, including file size and content type.

  • Download: Download the export file directly to your computer.

  • Retry: If an export fails, use this option to regenerate it.

  • Delete: Remove the export from your history to keep the dashboard organized.

⚠️ Important: Deleting an export removes it permanently from your history. If you need it again, you must recreate the export.

Searching and Filtering

You can quickly find specific exports or customize your view:

  1. Search: Use the search bar at the top to find exports by name.

  2. Customize columns: Click “Columns” in the top-right corner to choose which columns to display.

  3. Reset to default: Click “Reset to default” to restore the original column layout.

Tip: Filtering and customizing columns help you focus on the exports most relevant to your current tasks.

Tips for Managing Exports

  • Regularly delete old or unnecessary exports to keep your dashboard tidy.

  • Always verify the Status column before downloading to ensure the export is complete.

  • Use clear naming conventions for exports so they’re easy to locate later.

  • If an export fails, use Retry instead of generating a new one from scratch.
