How do I update and maintain variables?

How to navigate and organize variable sections

  1. Navigate to "Product prices" in your platform settings.

  2. Review the list of sections on the left. Each section groups related variables such as Drinken or Campaign.

  3. Select a section to view its variables.
The number in parentheses next to the section name shows how many variables it contains.

  4. Use the search bar to quickly find a category or variable.

Note: The ACTIVE pill next to each variable indicates that the variable is currently available for use in templates.

Adding new structure

  • Click "+ New section" to create a new category.

  • Click "+ New variable" to add a variable without selecting a section first.

How to configure variable details

  1. Select a variable to open the configuration panel.

  2. In the General tab, review or update the following:

Details

  • Name
Enter the display name for the variable. This is how it appears in the CMS.

  • Section
Select the category where the variable belongs.

Variable options

  • Review the variable fields shown as letters such as A, B, or C.

  • Click "Add option" below each field to add a price or value such as ten dollars or twelve dollars.

Caution: Make sure option names and values match your pricing structure to avoid confusion in templates.

How to review status and template code

The right side of the configuration panel contains technical and administrative information.

Status

  • Status
Shows whether the variable is ACTIVE. Use the dropdown to change this if needed.

  • Edited by and Created by
Shows who last modified the variable and who originally created it.

  • Edited at and Created at
Shows the dates and times for both actions.

Template code

  • Template code
Shows the technical string used by template builders to insert this variable into designs.

  • Trash icon
Allows you to delete the template code if it is no longer needed.

⚠️ Important: Only remove template code if you are certain it is not used in any live template.
