How do I set up unique marketing budgets for locations?

Accessing the marketing budgets overview

  1. Navigate to your Campaign, for example "Autumn Season Campaign".

  2. Select Marketing budgets from the sidebar.

  3. Enter a search term in the search bar to find a specific location.

  4. Select Export to download the current budget data for external review.

Note: Exporting data is useful when sharing budget reports with your finance team.

Understanding the budget table

Each row in the table shows the financial status for a single location.

Column Description
Location ID and Location name The unique ID and name of the location, for example 1003 and ViaMar Amsterdam.
Available budget The total amount allocated to that location.
Budget spent The amount of the budget the location has already used.
Total costs The actual cost incurred which may differ from the budget spent.
Invoice costs The billed amount based on invoices.
Last edited The most recent update to the location budget information.

Caution: Total costs may be higher or lower than Budget spent due to invoice adjustments.

Analyzing budget health

  1. Fully spent locations
Locations where Budget spent matches the Available budget have used their entire allocation. This helps you identify areas where additional budget cannot be used.

  2. Unspent locations
Locations with zero Budget spent and zero Total costs have not engaged with the Campaign. These may benefit from a follow up or reminder.

  3. Cost versus budget comparison
Reviewing Budget spent alongside Total costs shows whether there are billing discrepancies or potential overages.

⚠️ Important: Regularly reviewing budget health ensures accurate financial reporting and prevents unexpected overspending.

Tips

  • Use the search bar to quickly find high priority locations.

  • Export budget data early in the Campaign to track spending trends.

  • Review Last edited timestamps to confirm which budgets were updated most recently.
