How do I manage suppliers in Marvia?

How to access the Suppliers area

  1. Navigate to "Settings".

  2. Select "Connections".

  3. Select "Suppliers".
    You see a list of all suppliers with key details such as type, file transfer method, status, and last edited date.

Note: Use the search bar to quickly locate a supplier by name and click "Columns" to customize the visible table fields.

 

How to create a new supplier

  1. Click "+ New Supplier" in the top right corner.

  2. In the "New Supplier" pop up, select the Supplier type

    • Supplier for entities that provide goods or services to your business

    • Distributor for entities that supply goods directly to your customers

  3. Enter the Name of the supplier.

  4. Select the default Language for communication.

  5. Click "Create supplier" to save and continue to the supplier settings page.

 

How to configure supplier settings

The supplier settings page contains several sections you can update. Your Marvia environment may show more sections depending on configuration.

Details

  • Review the basic information entered during creation.

  • Add an internal Description if needed.

Status

  • Activate or deactivate the supplier.
    Inactive suppliers cannot be selected in processes.

Last edited

  • Shows when the supplier was last updated and by which user.

Price

  • Enter the base price.

  • Set a free shipping threshold.

  • Add a discount and select the calculation method.

Communication

  • Enter general contact information such as email, phone, fax, and website.

  • Enter the order email address.

  • Add communication instructions if required.

Export options

  • Select export formats such as Report BSL or Report CSV.

File transfer

  • Configure how files are sent or received for this supplier.
    This may include SFTP or other transfer methods.

Orders

  • Define settings specific to orders created for this supplier.

⚠️ Important: Review all settings after creation to ensure the supplier can be used in your ordering workflows without issues.

 

How to manage supplier files (optional)

  1. Navigate to the "Files" tab.

  2. Review existing files generated for orders.
    You see file name, file type, status, date of last modification, and available actions.

  3. Click the plus button to upload new files if your workflow requires attaching files to order confirmations.

Note: This section is mainly used for advanced or automated supplier integrations.
