How do I create an Interactive template?
Step 1: Access the template settings
-
Navigate to "Template Studio" in your platform.
-
Select the template you want to configure as interactive.
-
Open the "Settings" tab in the template editor.
Note: You can convert an existing template into an interactive template at any time.
Step 2: Configure the interactive type
-
In the settings panel, look for the option that defines the output format.
-
Set the "Type" field to "Interactive".
⚠️ Important: The template will not behave as interactive unless the type is set correctly.
Step 3: Set up interactive links and variables (optional)
-
After turning the interactive setting on, each variable will display an "Interactive" tab under "General".
-
Select the variable you want to make interactive.
-
Open the "Interactive" tab.
-
Enter the reference url.
-
Toggle the "Editable by users" option on or off depending on whether you want users to manage the link.
Caution: If a variable does not have a reference url, it will not produce a clickable output.
Step 4: Understand interactive variable behavior
Both text and images can become interactive variables. How the click area behaves depends on the type of variable you configure.
-
Text: When the full textbox is set as a variable, the entire textbox becomes clickable.
-
Selected text: When only a part of the text is set as a variable, only that specific text becomes clickable.
-
Images: When an image is set as a variable, the entire image becomes clickable.
Note: Consider user experience when deciding how large the clickable area should be.
Step 5: Save the interactive template
-
Review all settings including print options.
-
Set print presets to "smallest file size" to optimize your template.
-
Click "Save" to finalize the interactive template.
