How do I add My Documents or My Drafts to a page?

Step 1. Select the Outliner element

  1. Navigate to "Pages" in your CMS.

  2. Select the page you want to edit.

  3. Select the "Content" tab.

  4. Click the Outliner element to add it to the page.
    The configuration panel opens automatically.

 

Step 2. Configure the Outliner element

You will see two areas to complete.

Details

Enter an internal name for this block. For example, My documents list or User drafts. This name helps you identify the block in the backend and is not visible on the live page.

Settings

This section defines what type of files appear and who can see them.

Type
Select the type of files you want to display. Choose Documents or Drafts when you want to show user generated files.

Visible documents
Select whose files should be visible.

  • User: Shows only the logged in user's files.

  • Groups: Shows files from users in the same group. Groups are managed in Accounts, then Groups.

  • All: Shows all documents allowed for the user.

⚠️ Important: Choose the visibility option carefully to avoid showing documents to the wrong audience.

 

Step 3. Apply advanced options and finalize

Below the main settings you may see optional controls.

  • Show INDD package for admins
    Allows admins to download the original Adobe InDesign package for further design changes.

  • Show "Share" button
    Lets users share their documents directly from the page.

After adjusting your settings, click "Save". The Outliner element will now show a dynamic list of files based on the logged in user's permissions.
